How has Vietnam balanced between boosting the economy vs. dealing with the pandemic?

The development of Vietnam over the past 30 years is remarkable. Political and economic reforms since 1986 have promoted economic development, rapidly turning Vietnam from one of the poorest countries in the world into a low-middle-income country.

The Asia Times stated that, like neighboring countries, Vietnam's economy was also negatively affected after a long response to the Covid-19 epidemic. However, Vietnam is considered to be an exception with impressive growth, thanks to its prompt and effective anti-epidemic measures.
